"And even if you were to bring to the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians) all the Ayaat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.), they would not follow your Qiblah (prayer direction), nor are you going to follow their Qiblah (prayer direction), And they will not follow each other's Qiblah (prayer direction), Verily, if you follow their desires after that which you have received of knowledge (from Allaah), then indeed you will be one of the Dhaalimoon (polytheists, wrong-doers, etc.)." [Al-Baqarah (2):145]

Narrated Ibn 'Abbas:
Once I came riding a she-ass and had (just) attained the age of puberty. Allah's Apostle was offering the prayer at Mina. There was no wall in front of him and I passed in front of some of the row while they were offering their prayers. There I let the she-ass loose to graze and entered the row, and nobody objected to it. [The Book of Knowledge Volume 1, Book 3, Hadeeth 76]
