"They swear by Allaah that they said nothing (bad), but really they said the word of disbelief, and they disbelieved after accepting Islaam, and they resolved that (plot to murder Prophet Muhammad sal-Allaahu 'alayhe wa sallam) which they were unable to carry out, and they could not find any cause to do so except that Allaah and His Messenger had enriched them of His Bounty, If then they repent, it will be better for them, but if they turn away, Allaah will punish them with a painful torment in this worldly life and in the Hereafter, And there is none for them on earth as a Wali (supporter, protector) or a helper." [At-Taubah (9):74]

Narrated Abu Said Al-Khudri:

The Prophet said, "When the people of Paradise will enter Paradise and the people of Hell will go to Hell, Allah will order those who have had faith equal to the weight of a grain of mustard seed to be taken out from Hell. So they will be taken out but (by then) they will be blackened (charred). Then they will be put in the river of Haya' (rain) or Hayat (life) (the Narrator is in doubt as to which is the right term), and they will revive like a grain that grows near the bank of a flood channel. Don't you see that it comes out yellow and twisted" [The Book of Faith Volume 1, Book 2, Hadeeth 21]
