  • "So he [Yoosuf (Joseph)] began (the search) in their bags before the bag of his brother, Then he brought it out of his brother's bag, Thus did We plan for Yoosuf (Joseph), He could not take his brother by the law of the king (as a slave), except that Allaah willed it, (So Allaah made the brothers to bind themselves with their way of "punishment, i.e, enslaving of a thief.") We raise to degrees whom We please, but over all those endowed with knowledge is the All-Knowing (Allaah)." [Yoosuf (12):76]

  • Narrated 'Aa'ishah:

    Whenever Allah's Apostle ordered the Muslims to do something, he used to order them deeds which were easy for them to do, (according to their strength endurance). They said, "O Allah's Apostle! We are not like you. Allah has forgiven your past and future sins." So Allah's Apostle became angry and it was apparent on his face. He said, "I am the most Allah fearing, and know Allah better than all of you do." [The Book of Faith Volume 1, Book 2, Hadeeth 19]
