  • "Say (O Muhammad sal-Allaahu 'alayhe wa sallam) "O people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians)! You have nothing (as regards guidance) till you act according to the Tauraat (Torah), the Injeel (Gospel), and what has (now) been sent down to you from your Lord (the Qur'aan)." Verily, that which has been sent down to you (Muhammad sal-Allaahu 'alayhe wa sallam) from your Lord increases in many of them their obstinate rebellion and disbelief, So be not sorrowful over the people who disbelieve." [Al-Maa'idah (5):68]

  • Narrated 'Abdullah bin 'Amr:

    Once Allah's Apostle remained behind us in a journey. He joined us while we were performing ablution for the 'Asr prayer which was over-due. We were just passing wet hands over our feet (not washing them properly) so the Prophet addressed us in a loud voice and said twice or thrice, "Save your heels from the fire." [The Book of Knowledge Volume 1, Book 3, Hadeeth 96]
