  • "Say (O Muhammad sal-Allaahu 'alayhe wa sallam): "This is my way; I invite unto Allaah (i.e, to the Oneness of Allaah - Islaamic Monotheism) with sure knowledge, I and whosoever follows me (also must invite others to Allaah i.e to the Oneness of Allaah - Islaamic Monotheism) with sure knowledge, And Glorified and Exalted be Allaah (above all that they associate as partners with Him), And I am not of the Mushrikoon (polytheists, pagans, idolaters and disbelievers in the Oneness of Allaah; those who worship others along with Allaah or set up rivals or partners to Allaah).""   • Narrated Ibn 'Umar:

    Allah's Apostle said: "I have been ordered (by Allah) to fight against the people until they testify that none has the right to be worshipped but Allah and that Muhammad is Allah's Apostle, and offer the prayers perfectly and give the obligatory charity, so if they perform a that, then they save their lives an property from me except for Islamic laws and then their reckoning (accounts) will be done by Allah."
