  • "Then the angels called him, while he was standing in prayer in Al-Mihrab (a praying place or a private room), (saying): "Allaah gives you glad tidings of Yahya (John), confirming (believing in) the Word from Allaah [i.e, the creation of 'Eesaa (Jesus), the Word from Allaah ("Be!" - and he was!)], noble, keeping away from sexual relations with women, a Prophet, from among the righteous.""     Once Allah's Apostle remained behind us in a journey. He joined us while we were performing ablution for the 'Asr prayer which was over-due. We were just passing wet hands over our feet (not washing them properly) so the Prophet addressed us in a loud voice and said twice or thrice, "Save your heels from the fire." [The Book of Knowledge Volume 1, Book 3, Hadeeth 96]
