"Alif-Lam-Ra, [These letters are one of the miracles of the Qur'aan, and none but Allaah (Alone) knows their meanings], (This is) a Book which We have revealed unto you (O Muhammad sal-Allaahu 'alayhe wa sallam) in order that you might lead mankind out of darkness (of disbelief and polytheism) into light (of belief in the Oneness of Allaah and Islaamic Monotheism) by their Lord's Leave to the Path of the All-Mighty, the Owner of all Praise." Narrated Anas:
The Prophet said, "Whoever possesses the following three qualities will have the sweetness (delight) of faith:- The one to whom Allah and His Apostle becomes dearer than anything else.
- Who loves a person and he loves him only for Allah's sake.
- Who hates to revert to Atheism (disbelief) as he hates to be thrown into the fire."
