  • "But if they turn away (O Muhammad sal-Allaahu 'alayhe wa sallam from the Islaamic Monotheism, which you have brought to them), We have not sent you (O Muhammad sal-Allaahu 'alayhe wa sallam) as a Hafiz (protector) over them (i.e, to take care of their deeds and to recompense them), Your duty is to convey (the Message), And verily, when We cause man to taste of Mercy from Us, he rejoices thereat, but when some ill befalls them because of the deeds which their hands have sent forth, then verily, man (becomes) ingrate!" [Ash-Shoora (42):48]

    A man asked the Prophet , "What sort of deeds or (what qualities of) Islam are good?" The Prophet replied, 'To feed (the poor) and greet those whom you know and those whom you do not Know (See Hadith No. 27). [The Book of Faith Volume 1, Book 2, Hadeeth 11]
