  • "And Shaitaan (Satan) will say when the matter has been decided: "Verily, Allaah promised you a promise of truth, And I too promised you, but I betrayed you, I had no authority over you except that I called you, so you responded to me, So blame me not, but blame yourselves, I cannot help you, nor can you help me, I deny your former act in associating me (Satan) as a partner with Allaah (by obeying me in the life of the world), Verily, there is a painful torment for the Dhaalimoon (polytheists and wrong-doers, etc.)."" • Narrated 'Aa'ishah:

Whenever Allah's Apostle ordered the Muslims to do something, he used to order them deeds which were easy for them to do, (according to their strength endurance). They said, "O Allah's Apostle! We are not like you. Allah has forgiven your past and future sins." So Allah's Apostle became angry and it was apparent on his face. He said, "I am the most Allah fearing, and know Allah better than all of you do." [The Book of Faith Volume 1, Book 2, Hadeeth 19]
