"Indeed Allaah took the covenant from the Children of Israel (Jews), and We appointed twelve leaders among them, And Allaah said: "I am with you if you perform As-Salaat (Iqaamat-as-Salaat) and give Zakaat and believe in My Messengers; honour and assist them, and lend to Allaah a good loan, Verily, I will remit your sins and admit you to Gardens under which rivers flow (in Paradise), But if any of you after this, disbelieved, he has indeed gone astray from the Straight Path."" [Al-Maa'idah (5):12]

Narrated Ibn 'Umar:
We were with the Prophet and a spadix of date-palm tree was brought to him. On that he said, "Amongst the trees, there is a tree which resembles a Muslim." I wanted to say that it was the date-palm tree but as I was the youngest of all (of them) I kept quiet. And then the Prophet said, "It is the date-palm tree." [The Book of Knowledge Volume 1, Book 3, Hadeeth 72]
