  • "And if only they had acted according to the Tauraat (Torah), the Injeel (Gospel), and what has (now) been sent down to them from their Lord (the Qur'aan), they would surely have gotten provision from above them and from underneath their feet, There are from among them people who are on the right course (i.e, they act on the revelation and believe in Prophet Muhammad sal-Allaahu 'alayhe wa sallam like 'Abdullaah bin Salam radhiAllaahu'anhu), but many of them do evil deeds."   • Narrated Anas bin Malik:

    One day Allah's Apostle came out (before the people) and 'Abdullah bin Hudhafa stood up and asked (him) "Who is my father?" The Prophet replied, "Your father is Hudhafa." The Prophet told them repeatedly (in anger) to ask him anything they liked. 'Umar knelt down before the Prophet and said thrice, "We accept Allah as (our) Lord and Islam as (our) religion and Muhammad as (our) Prophet." After that the Prophet became silent. [The Book of Knowledge Volume 1, Book 3, Hadeeth 93]
